Today from 2-3pm, my friend Michelle Seipel and I are performing in the lobby of the JW Marriott Essex House New York. Michelle is a wonderful soprano based in NYC who is equally at home on the opera stage and on Broadway, and we will be presenting a variety of opera, Broadway, and classical art songs.
I'll be joining the faculty of College Auditions Advantage for their Summer Institute as a Staff Pianist and Repertoire Coach. Led by Deborah Lifton, this year's institute will include classes by Arielle Jacobs, Grant Wenaus, and many others!

This summer, I'm returning to NYU Steinhardt as an Associate Music Director, Vocal Coach, and Accompanist for their Summer Study in Music Theater and Classical Voice Intensive. The workshops are led by Dianna Heldman and consist of group and individual instruction from many of the same faculty who teach at NYU Steinhardt during the academic year.
Lincoln Center Stage is a partnership between the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Holland America Line. They have placed classically-trained musicians in piano quintets aboard Holland America's largest ships, currently the MS Koningsdam, Eurodam, and Oosterdam. I'm very happy to be playing with the piano quintet now aboard the MS Eurodam. We are performing the piano quintets of Brahms, Schumann, and Dvorak, as well as other solo and chamber music selections from the classical literature. In addition, we also have a growing collection of arrangements of popular tunes commissioned by Holland America Line for our ensembles.
The other members of my group are Jaram Kim (violin) (jaramkim.com / Facebook), Floor Braam (violin) (floorbraam.com / Facebook), Isabella Mensz (viola) (Facebook), and Nathaniel Ortega (cello) (Facebook). I am so happy to have met them. We'll be on board the MS Eurodam through the end of May 2017.
Broadway Training Center of Westchester, one of the region's premier performing arts schools, will present the musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie" November 18-20, 2016 at the Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington, N.Y.
With direction by Fiona Santos and Jason Brantman, choreography by Sarah Hicks, and music direction by Josh Cullen.

I'm excited to spread the word about INSOMNIA: A New Musical for which I helped prepare the music. It's being presented Aug. 2-7 at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, with a fabulous cast that includes my NYU Steinhardt classmate Philip Skinner! Music and lyrics by Charles Bloom, book by Theo Wolf, direction by Ovi Vargas, and music direction by James Followell. It's a small theater that only seats about 60, so if you'd like to come, buy your tickets online in advance: https://m.ovationtix.com/pr/960362
I'm playing my graduation recital at NYU next Monday, May 2nd, at 8pm at the Provincetown Playhouse, 133 MacDougal Street, NYC.
The music comes from a variety of composers: Poulenc, Rodrigo, Strauss, and living NYC composer Tom Cipullo. The song texts are all by female or anonymous poets, and share common themes of love, nostalgia, and life reflections. The first half is all art songs, and the second half will have the Strauss violin sonata.
Joining me will be fellow graduating students Rebecca Blackwell, Ausar Amon, Maria Palombo, as well as soprano Kristin Renee Young.
It would be wonderful to see you there. Thanks for all your love and support!
How many of the struggles we face today are the same issues we faced during the Great Depression? Come and hear Harold Rome's PINS AND NEEDLES and you'll be fascinated by the similarities... and the differences!
We're putting on a completely new production of this highly successful show, which originally ran for 4 years and had two national tours. Our production features an all new orchestration (which we are in the process of finishing) and a wonderful cast of student actors from NYU Steinhardt. Direction by Meg Bussert, music supervision by Joseph Church, and music direction by me! The show runs March 24-27 at the Provincetown Playhouse at 133 MacDougal Street, NYC. Tickets will go on sale in March at tickets.nyu.edu.
I'm excited to share that violinist Stephanie Chase interviewed me for her column in this issue of Stay Thirsty Magazine! I talk about my experience growing up, being home-schooled, going to college early, serving in the U.S. Army, and returning to New York to play music. I've also shared some photos from past concerts as well as my army tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, along with some recordings I forgot I still had!
I'm thrilled to be working as the Associate Music Director at the Sharon Playhouse in Connecticut this summer!
